With the increasing construction of 5G base stations, operators are facing enormous investment pressure. PRISM can provide advanced Active + Passive (A+P) antenna solutions to help customers simplify site deployment and reduce 5G-related capital expenditures.
The challenges of 4G and 5G antenna co-site:
PRISM provides dual solutions, where the active antenna is installed independently on the back of the passive antenna, or the active and passive are integrated into the single radome.
For split installation, the 5G module can be installed on the upper back of the passive antenna, allowing for easy installation, disassembly, and replacement.
PRISM advanced design ensures excellent performance of both 4G and 5G antennas in an integrated solution. The main technologies deployed in the A+P solution:
Metamaterial: It not only realizes the function of reflecting low frequency waves, but also can passes through the higher frequency waves of mMIMO signals.
Taurus Platform technology: Taurus, PRISM's unique high-efficiency network design, adopts an integrated design of phase shifters, reflectors, and feed networks, less coaxial cables and improving antenna performance and radiation efficiency.
The P part stands for a 4G/5G passive antenna, with the ports at the bottom connected to the RRU. The A part reserved for 5G AAU module mounting. The other functional modules can still be installed and used normally, such as an antenna sensing module for position and direction sensing.
